Guests Reviews

We endeavour to ensure guests enjoy their holiday, here are just a few comments below as a testament of our dedication to this end !

Another excellent holiday at this hotel. Its the 4th time we have stayed here and it just gets better. Ange and Toula are perfect hosts and cannot do enough for you, likewise for all the other hotel staff.
Hotel rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, towels were also changed daily too.
2 great restaurants on doorstep, Aliana and Lithino, serve lovely food.
Hope to be back next year.
Thanks to you all.r !

Well!! Just visited this lovely hotel for 10 days. We were not disappointed. This hotel is family run. Ange toula and Johnny look after you as though you are there own. Always remembering names for that personal touch which in my experience of being abroad does not happen. It's a must visit hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the Greek night they put on for 10 euros which included great food and entertainment. Love all the classic rock tunes too. Thankyou so much for making me Nikki and luci very welcome from day 1 throughout. All local eateries are the best by a mile . The tavernas that is. Best value with home cooked food. We WILL BE BACK . LOVED OUR HOLIDAY AT THE poseiden.

Thankyou very much. X

Just spent a lovely week as a family of 10 staying in the apartments. Not sure what some people are expecting from 2/3star hotel but we found them more than adequate. Rooms were good size and we had no issues with the size of the bathroom. The maids were in everyday and changed sheets and towels. Although we spent time around the pool and enjoyed this it may not be ideal for non swimmers. What really makes these apartments stand out are the staff. They definitely offer a personal touch. We can't thank them enough for all the help they gave us when my 70yr old dad had a fall and broke his ankle. From advise on the hospital procedures, organising a ground floor apartment, contacting our tui rep, ringing around and driving us to pick up a wheelchair. They went above and beyond in which we are extremely grateful. They even organised birthday cakes which we celebrated on their brilliant Greek night so much fun, best I've been to.
Thank you Ange,Toula,Johnny and all the staff xx

Where do I start! What an amazing holiday on a beautiful island. From the second we arrived we were looked after by the amazing staff and the wonderful Ang, Toula and Johnny (the cocktail master) our room was spotless and a perfect base. Kos Town is fifteen min walk but would definitely recommend hiring bikes to get around easily. The restaurant across the road is amazing, great food, reasonably prIced and the owners are so friendly. Greek night was fantastic, really good fun and the perfect end to an amazing holiday. Being waved off and hugged as we got on the coach summed up what a great week we had and we will definitely be going back. The pool is lovely and clean, we never had any problem getting sun beds. Johnny makes the best cocktails even warning me when I insisted i was fine with two Long Island iced teas and the hotel snack bar is perfect for days spent lounging around the pool. My daughters loved bar street and it was an experience even though I only stayed half hour. I Have tendinitis in my knee but after visiting the thermal springs I didn’t once have any pain or swelling so well worth a visit just ignore the smell of sulphur.
We can’t wait to go back to Kos and will definitely be staying at the Poseidon when we return, reading previous reviews it’s easy to see why so many people return every year when you are treated like friends.
Lastly the special bakery is amazing, the best ice cream ever. My daughters loved the kinder bueno and I had the mocha every day. Out of this world and less than two euros.
We read previous reviews before going and would agree it is worth taking an extension lead especially for charging phones etc

Booked this a couple of weeks before travelling,so did not make any requests, therefore was pleasantly surprised when allocated a pool view room.
Welcomed on arrival(at silly o'clock in the early hours)and again by the staff and owners after we had had some sleep.
Spotlessly clean(rooms cleaned every day,and you could smell and see that it had been cleaned properly),friendly and close to the seafront with shops and restaurants.
Hired a fridge(20 euros, and it was a full sized fridge)
Air conditioning excellent
Rep was probably one of the best we have encountered over the years.
Other guests predominantly very friendly (mix of nationalities)
Greek evening fantastic value for money
No,it is not a 5 star luxury hotel, but what it is is a traditional, small friendly and clean Greek ,family run hotel, with attention to excellent customer service
We will definitely return in the future

What a wonderful hotel and holiday we have just had, my wife, 2 children and I! Hotel is set in a residential area so don't expect sea views but this is more than made up for by the the management and all the staff at this great hotel. Ange and Tula make you feel more than welcome as do all the staff and nothing is too much trouble. From arranging a delicious birthday cake for me to adopting our daughter and treating her like a princess - Tula even waited to wave us off on our final night at 10.30 pm even though she had been in since early morning, something we didn't expect as Ange and Tula can't be there 24/7; gracious they do enough in the long hours they are there.... You may even get the odd outburst of Skippy lol. Bedding and towels are changed every other day, actually the place is spotless, security is not an issue as both kids regularly left iphones in our appartment in plain sight and their wallets too, room was cleaned when we came back and everything was left where it should be. Pool area, snack bar and reception area very clean. Snack bar great value for money. Greek night includes fab barbecue and great entertainment for 10 euros each: it's not only great value it's a great night with dancing and karaoke. All in all we would just like to say 'Thank you for a wonderful first but not last experience of Kos (if my daughter Jade has her way we will be back to the Poseidon for every school holiday lol).' We will definitely be going back as value for money wise and cleanliness we dont think it can be beaten.

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic week in Kos. On arriving
at the hotel we were greeted by the hotels owners son who was
helpful and most welcoming. He was just the start of the warm welcome we received from all staff. When we went for breakfast the next morning we were greeted as we walked down the stairs with a fantastic good morning and a lovely smile this was Ange the manager what a lovely man he welcomed us both asked us about our journey and did we need any help from him I was well impressed. We have been to some great hotels over the years but can honestly say small and friendly is definitely the way forward. Thank you to Ange, Toula and the team for making our time a memorable one. First visit and I don't think it will be our last.
Weather was fantastic.
Location is great the two restaurants opposite both serve tasty dishes for a reasonable price but our most memorable meal was in Koako wow it was fab [this is on the seafront]!!! Well worth a visit.
We also went on the 3 island cruise on the Christina this was also good value for money and a fantastic day out.

My wife and I plus my 21 year old daughter stayed here last September/October. Unfortunately my wife slipped and broke her foot in Kos Town on our first night, the next day, Ange, the owner on hearing what had happened took us to the hospital himself and even found us later to make sure all was well and that my wife was being treated.
On returning to the Hotel seeing that Julia had a pot on her foot, Ange very kindly moved us from our third floor apartment to a ground floor one and because this was smaller he let my daughter have a room in the Hotel all at no extra cost.
Despite this start to our holiday we had a fantastic time, the Hotel and apartments are well equipped and a good size. They are cleaned daily and plenty of towels etc provided.
The pool is nice and deep at one end and there is a shallow child's area.We spent alot of time around the pool because of The Foot and used the snack bar (run by the coolest man in Kos, Nick)quite a lot, all the food was good and reasonably priced.
The Hotel bar is excellent and again has good prices. Sport lovers can watch just about anything as Ange has every channel known to man!
The Hotel is about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Kos town but there are lots of restaurants and tavernas nearby.
This was a really enjoyable holiday in a good hotel and location but what really made it was Ange his wonderful wife Toula, Nick and the rest of the staff who were all so friendly and would do anything to help you enjoy your holiday.
Thankyou all and we will see you again.
